    1. [MARSHALL] Two Samuel Marshalls in 1818
    2. This is the will of Samuel Agnew, 1818, of Washington Co. Pennsylvania. He had two named grandsons named Samuel Marshall. I wish I could find out how long Samuel A. Marshall, son of James and Nancy Marshall owned/lived in the "mansion house with 100 acres" that he inherited from his grandfather. Betty Owens In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Agnew of the County of Washington in Pennsylvania, being of advanced in years; but of sound well disposing mind, memory and understanding, and calling to mind the uncertainty of life, do hereby dispose of my estate in manner following. My soul I recommend to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be interred in a decent and christian manner at the discretion of my Executors, trusting to the merits of my Redeemer for a glorious resurrection. To my son James I give and bequeath four shares of my stock in the bank of Washington, in addition a tract of land I have heretofore conveyed to him. Together with one third of my wearing apparel. to my grand son, Samuel Agnew, son of James I give and bequeath three shared of my stock in the Washington Bank to my son John, I give and bequeath eighteen shares of my stock in the Bank aforesaid, also the sum of two hundred dollars as soon as the same can be collected from my outstanding debts together with one third part of my wearing apparel. To my son Samuel, I give and bequeath eighteen shares of my Stock in the Washington Bank in addition to a tract of land I have heretofore conveyed to him, Together with one third part of my wearing apparel. To my grand son Samuel A. Marshall, Son of the late James Marshel, dec'd, I give and devise one sixth part of a tract of land, on which my mansion house stands, which tract contains one hundred acres or more land according to a survey thereof make by Wm.Sinclair. To my grandson, Samuel, son of James Agnew, I give & Devise one sixth part of the before mentioned tract of land. To my grand son, Samuel, son of Samuel Agnew, I give and devise one sixth part of the before mentioned tract of land. To my grandson, Samuel, son of Robert Marshall, I give and devise one sixth part of the before mentioned tract of land. To my grand son Samuel, son of Robert Anderson, I give and devise one sixth part of the before mentioned tract of land with the appurtenances_equally to all my grandchildren herein before named to my daughter Rebeca, I give and bequeath the sum of two hundred dollars, as soon as the same can be collected from my outstanding debts, Together with one fifth part of my library to my sons, James, John, and Samuel, I give and bequeath to each, one fourth part of all the rest and residue of my personal estate, and to my grandchildren of my daughter Elizabeth I give an bequeath the residue of my personal estate. Lastly I do here by constitute and appoint my son Samuel Agnew and my son in law Robert Anderson executors of this my last Will and Testament.
