Hi List, Searching for parents of Samuel MARSHALL, born ca. 1750, some say in PA., but I think he could have been born in VA., just as easily, and can explain this, if need be. He married Frances (Fanny) HAZELRIGG, d/o William HAZELRIGG and Jemima (maiden name unknown). I found several land deeds on them for them in Ohio Co., (W)VA., where they lived before moving to Scioto Co., OH. in the late 1790's. Have full list of their children with birth dates from a Bible record. Would love to hear from descendants and would love to learn Samuel's parents names. I hope someone can help me out there. He may have had a brother Aaron Marshall, b. ca. 1750 Westmoreland Co., VA., and also lived in Ohio Co., (W)VA. for a short while, the settled in and died in Hancock Co., W VA. This Aaron MARSHALL was the son of Col. John MARSHALL and Eliza FERRELL and he married Sarah Snowden.

Hi, I am off of Aaron and there is a Hazelrigg. I have often thought he belongs. There is also a Hazelrigg on the militia list near Aaron. Please contact me and I really want to know why you might think he is a brother. Also there are a number of Marshall orphans he could be. Lots were killed by Indians and I would guess this is why they retaliated at times. Some have said Aaron could have a brother Jonathan but I can not find anything saying any brother. Did find a Jonathan in the military thought.
