-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Salisbury DNA Study Date: Tue, 13 Jan 2004 16:49:37 -0700 From: Joan Earnshaw <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> I'd like to announce the beginning of the Salisbury DNA study. I have arranged this with the Genetic Technologies Lab for the simple reason that Salisburys seem to be very hard to trace, not only for me, but others as well. I have arranged for a reduced price with the lab. It will work like this: Since this study is to trace the Y chromosomes (the male descendancy), it is limited to males. (Ladies, regretfully, the cost to trace mitochrondrial DNA or the female is twice the price as the males). First: contact Genetic Technologies, Inc http://www.genetictechnologies.com phone : 636-451-GENE or toll free: 877-451-GENE Second: mention my name in order to receive the reduced rate: Joan Earnshaw Third: Arrange for a sample collection by the lab I will be the coordinator of the study. This is to trace the various branches of the family. In a family as large as the Salisburys, there could easily be 50 branches. If you have any questions, please contact me and/or the lab. My hope is to be able to find the branch or branches that first came to the US from England, and also to be able to locate the branch or branches that are still in England or other parts of the world. Participation in this study is open to individuals anywhere in the world. If you want to discuss this on the phone, please send me an email saying so and I'll email you my phone number.
