He was the eldest child of John Marshall b.1812 Thealby, Linc and Jane ? b. 1817 Roxby, Linc. His siblings (all born in Ashby) include Samuel b.1839, George b.1841, Sarah b.1843, Willaim b.1845, Edward b.1847, John b.1849, Hannah b.1851 and Caroline b.1853. He worked as a shepherd, farm lab, brewers pulleyman before his marriage in 1867 to Martha Hird (b.1840 Wadingham, Linc). His children include - John Thomas b.1871, Ashby, Linc - Mary Jane b.1869 Ashby, Linc - Robert b.1874 Frodingham, Linc - Ruth b.1877 Frodingham, Linc Thomas, Martha and the 4 children vanish from the UK records after 1881. I assume they emigrated.....there must be descendants out there somewhere....are you one? Please contact me, I would love to hear from lost Marshall cousins.
