I know what you mean about the names being repeated. I've come across an ancestor, William who had 3 sons, William, John and Thomas. Each of the sons had sons named William, John and Thomas - a nightmare - esp. as they all kept marrying women named Elizabeth! Good Luck in your search - if you hear of any more 'homeless' John Thomas', can you send them my way? I'm sure my one emigrated, but I've no idea where to!
