Looking for a chink in my long-standing brick wall: William Marshall 'of Dedham' at his marriage to Lydia Willett on 22 April 1761, Dedham, Suffolk, Mass. They emigrated to Nova Scotia very soon thereafter, as Planters, and had children: Isabel 'Sybil' 1762-1829 [birth recorded in Dedham VRs] William 1763-1764 and all succeeding b. in Nova Scotia William 1765-1776 Catharine 1767-1779 Andrew Willett 1770-1865 John 1772-1858 Abel Richards 1774 Elizabeth 1776-1811 Calvin 1778 Sarah 1780 William may have been the son of that name born to William and Elizabeth [Nason] Marshall, bp. 7 August 1737 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts.
