Sue, Below is the email that you mailed to [email protected] and this is the first time that I have heard of anyone mentioning the West Indies. That is where Samuel Marshall, my great grandfather came from as a young boy to America. And the only place that I know where he was living, was in Texas and in 1870, he married Maryann Elizabeth Davis. He had blue eyes and auburn hair. He had told my grandmother that his parents came from Wales, and settled in the West Indies and that his mother and dad were doctors of Medicine. I have Samuel and Maryann's marriage license. I know that Maryann Elizabeth Davis was born in 1842. They later moved to Indian Territory and both are buried in Oklahoma. My grandmother, Margaret Virginia (Marshall) Anders named one of her sons, Willis. My grandmother was born in 1885, Brownwood, Texas.
