To Charles Marshall, Gresham. OR My ancestor John Marshall owned a shipyard in Shanghai, China with a cousin named Harrison.John and his wife died in China and were brought back to Brooklyn, NY and buried in Cyprus Hills Cemetery. Family notes say he was shipwrecked while Chief Engineer of the steamship San Francisco. He was given a medal for that disaster.. John Woolsey Marshall was born June 11m 1819 and died June 19, 1862.
