Iowa 1880 census records state his father was born in Va. Have no name for father. Mother was born in Germany. Says Tilman was born in Tenn. Tilman was my grandmother's father. Tilman Duncan was married to Catherine--no last name. Children were Henry, James, Emma, Minnie, Francis, Carrie (my grandmother) and Tilman. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
