    1. Re: [MARSHALL] fix your trees Paxton book flawed
    2. Joe
    3. Hi list, I am putting out the call again. Please fix your trees. Please use the Marshall DNA site and fix what is wrong. Mr Paxton is wrong on many lines in his book. It is sad that he published it this way and led many to believe they were related when they are not. Anyone with a tree based on something trees that say something like: They claim to be of our family..... much surprised when he ascertained that his relationship with our branch could not be traced...... probably a son of Thomas...... may have been...... if so...... I find no mention of...... It is not known.... is said to have..... If you look at peoples middle names, it is very helpful seeing how they are related. I use GenoPro to make a large map/chart and I can see every single person. I can see how the sons would take the last name of their mother for a middle name 90% of the time. When I mark where they lived and the time, I can see how people moved west to the frontier away from the war and violence on the east coast. I am begging that person with the famous "Justice John/Amber/Marshall etc. tree document" to go through and fix things there are at least a dozen separate Marshall families as shown on the DNA site one family is nearly all Presbyterian and the Justice John is episcopalian. They pretty much stayed with their religion in the 1700's. one family that is the Presbys. is from England Ireland and Scotland all over the UK one that is Justice Johns is supposed to be from England specifically one or two came from Germany and were spelled Morscholl if you look at the old documents.....Dietrich/Teetrick/same guy one DNA is a Norman type and one is a Celtic type It would also be very helpful if any of you who did the DNA and did not put up your tree to do so. What is the point when you don't tell your tree? I saw one the other day that was a match for me and said Marshall but no tree. That makes a lot of sense!! Some day we will connect to the UK Marshall people and figure things out. They, in the UK, need to get living males in their lines to do the DNA. Then you will know who to look at and who is not in your line. For example Rev Samuel Vance Marshall does not belong in this book. He is in the Family F group clearly as his parents are married into the same families as other group F http://books.google.com/books?id=zcM1AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA8&lpg=PA8&dq=%22Redstone+presbytery%22+marshall&source=web&ots=Kz_PqetWX8&sig=j2RUj3yWAjopcaMrZhW8CPgLra0&hl=en#PPA8,M1 I find it funny that on the DNA site it says "out of no where comes this huge family" for my Family F. It appears though that it is the largest at the time of the colonies we are not all related to Justice John even though my brother still wants to be. Please fix your trees and tell the truth for the future. Use the computer to find the truth some came from the Mareschals that were with the Keith clan and some came from the Marshalls that could be from William the Marshall or who knows where any of them came at this point. lastly...anyone in the Lancaster Co Dauphin Philly PACross Creek/Chartiers/Washinton County PA/West Augusta, VA Hancock/Brooke/Marshall W VA East Ohio Marshall/al/el's contact me I am working on these anyone in UK with info on the Presbyterians like Rev William Marshall, Rev Stephen Marshall or these names/places Most Popular Family Names Marshall (665), McCracken (23), Vance (20), Marshel (19), Williamson (16), Crawford (15), Wilson (11), Snowden (9), Lincicome (7), Patterson (6), Park (6), Samuel (5), Reed (5), Hays (5), Boggs (5), Smith (4), Leet (4), Boswell (4), Bishop (4) Most Popular Places (33), Forsyth Co, N.C. 3. Yes, I think there are mistakes as evidenced by the connection Mr. Paxton made for my wife's Marshall family connection. One has to remember how this book was constructed 120 years ago. Paxton wrote letters to people "back east" from Platte County, Missouri. He used the responses to assemble his lines. Those letters may be reviewed at the Western Historical Manuscript Collection at the University of Missouri - Columbia.
