My mother's records state that Abraham's father was William. However, I have no clue as to which William it was. Family oral history says that there is a Patriot in this linage. Excerpt from: The Farmville (VA) Herald, Wednesday, August 8, 2007 Page 6A A Service held Saturday for Katherine M. Williams Portsmouth, August 7 - Katherine Marshall Williams, born November 29, 1917 received the Grace of Our Lord and Saviour and passed into Eternal peace on the evening of Tuesday, August 1, 2007. She lived most of her life in Wise. Following the death of her husband, Ray W. Williams, she lived with her daughter, Barbara W. George, in Cumberland. The last three years of her life were shared with her daughter, Carolyn W. Kauffman in Portsmouth. Her years were spent as a homemaker and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a Baptist by faith. Surviving are daughters, Carolyn W. Kauffman and husband, Tom of Portsmouth, and Barbara W. George and husband, Stewart of Cumberland; sons, Gary Williams and wife, Gail of Norton, and James A. Williams and wife, Glenda of Midlothian; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and brother Virgil Marshall. There was a graveside service at Powell Valley Memorial Park in Big Stone Gap, on Saturday, August 4. Memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of choice.     3. I have not gotten back any farther, definitely, than what I listed in the posting and all those people were born in Scotland, with the exception of Agnes Service, who was born in Ireland. Lynne
