I am stuck. Anderson was born in the Carolina area around 1819. He married Ruth Swango in Gallatin Co. Ky. in 1839. I found him in a Census Record in 1850 in Franklin Co. Indiana, then back in Gallatin in the next 2 Census. All the records say that Andersons father was born in Virginia. When I have tried to match him up with other Markham(Marcum) I can`t find his name. It is possible that his name is William Anderson but when I cross reference that, it still doesn`t work out. Other surnames in his family are: Swango, Whiteside, Browning, Fightmaster,and Shaffer. Can anyone help me solve this? I have been stuck on this for 2 years and I can`t go back until I do.
