Are they related to the Elisha Marcum family out of Sumner co, Tennessee? James and Thomas appear to have been born in Kentucky, after the Elisha Marcum family came to Wayne co, Illinois. The 1880 census of Wayne co, Illinois hints that James and Thomas Markham may have removed from Kentucky to Illinois just after 1860. Were they part of the Marcum family group that left Sumner co, Tn to settle in Allen co, Kentucky? Something to think about.
