I have a copy of the deed settling Stephen S. Marcum's estate. One of the heirs is William W. Does anyone have any documentation about which William W. this is? William Welcome Marcum is my gr gr grandfather, born c1820. I know that he married Nancy Jane Crum. In the census records he is listed both ways, as William and as Welcom. William Wirt Marcum was a son of Stephen M Marcum and Jane Damron. This William was born 1844, he married 1st Eunice Cox, married 2nd Elizabeth Burgess. These 2 William W. Marcums have been confused on this list but they are 2 different individuals. These are the 2 William W. Marcums that I am aware of. Were there others? Can anyone help me? I really want to find out who William Welcome Marcum's parents were. I know some researchers think it was John C. and Clarinda. Is there any "written" proof anywhere? I think, from the deed, that his parents were Stephen S. and Elizabeth Sadler/Saddler. Help please??? Vernia
