Has anyone every heard of Rainey/Reany Freeman born 6 April 1801 in Wake Co,? NC and married to Spencer Marcum/Marcom ( born 18 Oct. 1798 Orange Co, NC ) March 1827. Reany, Spencer and family moved to Haywood Co, Tn in the last summer of 1836. The marriage records of Wake Co, NC list Rainey as marring Spencer Martin, but this is wrong last name. I am looking for the parents of Rainey. All I know about her parents is that her father was a dance instructor of great fame in Wake Co, NC. They had a large mansion and many slaves. I have a lot of information on this line of the Marcom/Marcum family to share if anyone needs it, but nothing as yet on the Freeman side. Robert Sinclair in Tennessee
