AMA-BOEKE-BOEKE... "A HISTORY OF THE MARKHAM FAMILY", BY THE REV. DAVID FREDERICK MARKHAM. [Re-Produced by Mr. David Markham, NZ.] [Ver. 1.00 Released: 30-09-00] Mye Goodye Cosynes, No one would have believed, in the last years of the nineteenth century, that Markham affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of Cyberspace. No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets, and yet, across the gulf of Cyberspace, minds immeasurably superior to ours, regarded these rare Markham books with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, the editors drew their plans against us... At midnight on the 30th of September, a huge mass of luminous electronic data erupted from Mars and sped towards Earth. Across two hundred million miles of void (possibly Africa), invisibly hurtling towards us, came the first of the Markham books that were to bring so much to Calamity Jane on Earth. As I watched, there was another jet of electronic data. It was another old Markham book, starting on its way ("MM" Word7). And that's how it was for the next ten nights. A flare, spurting out from Mars - bright green, drawing a green mist behind it - a beautiful, but somehow disturbing sight. Capt. Columbus, the Coroner, assured me we were in no danger. He was convinced there could be no living thing on that remote, forbidding planet...... ===================================================================== TAKE NOTE: 1. Some of the pictures in the HTML format might be larger and better for printing. You might want to print both versions. 'A Shield Of Such Coats As MARKHAMS OF COTHAM May Rightly Bear' is one of them for the HTML version, and also the 'OLD HUNTING LODGE AT KIRBY BELLERS.' 2. The (only) two pictures in 'Genealogical Memoranda' that were very poor in quality, can now be found in this book as good copies of the original pictures. 3. The Word7 version is the most accurate version of any of these old Markham book reproductions!. 4. All the scanned pictures from this book are of excellent quality. 5. The font used is Courier New. 6. If any-one has a copy of this book, and would to do any further spell-checking, please let me know... 7. I am looking for some-one to reproduce these four charts in HTML format as close to the original pages as possible, please!. It was many many hours of typing and checking and scanning etc. If you have found this book of interest, please take the time to say thank you to Dave here at: davemark@ihug.co.nz This book has taken the last few months to compile and check. I am personally grateful to Dave Markham for getting this book up on the "TW" website, and nearly have all the books we started out with to place here on this website. Thank you very much for your help................ ===================================================================== Yours Sincerely, Sir Ken Markham, K.C.B., (95).
