    1. [MARKHAM] Markham Marriages
    2. Dear Markham Researchers, I was researching at Ancestry.com yesterday and came up with a helpful list of marriages for selected counties in several southern States. I know that many of these marriages have appeared on the Markham list previously, but I found a number here that I had not seen before. So..... I am going to send them along to the List and I hope that someone might find something new here. They will follow in several postings. Best to All Pam Garrett

    3. This list is now moderated. I will see every post before it shows up on the list. I hate to do this, but I am receiving threatening e-mail from one person I unsubscribed for his offensive humor, and racist remarks from the other person I unsubscribed for his offensive humor. If anybody attempts to forward a message to this list from Ken or Columbus, they will be unsubscribed also. Enjoy the holidays, folks. I intend to. David dmorgan@efn.org David W. 3. Dear List Members: I have just received a wonderful photograph from one of my Cousins and I want to share it with you. This photograph was sent to me by Ronald McDaniel that lives in Lynchburg, Virginia. In Ronnie's letter he states and I quote. "After the death of a Harris cousin, the family members disposing of the house and property found a large portrait in the attic. Written on the back was "Grandmother Mary Harris". The cousins that were selling the house and property were direct descendants of Edward "Nat Harris and his wife Mary M. Markham. We fully believe this to be Mary Markham Harris". Well I agree with Ronnie I believe this is Mary M. Markham the daughter of Nathaniel E. Markham of Jennings Creek, and the sister of My Great Great Grandfather, Jesse E. Markham. I have just added it to my Web presentation as The New Markham Photo of the Month. The URL is: http://www.frontpage2000.family-net.org/tmark/newmarkhampictureofthemonth.htm I hope you will enjoy this picture as much as I have, and me find more of our Markham relations and their pictures. 3. Hi list, For anyone who is tidier than me and keeps their address book up to date, please delete bob-markham@lydiard-park.freeserve.co.uk and add bob.markham@ntlworld.com Also a chance to re-state my main interest as MARKHAM in the Quarrendon area north of Aylesbury, Bucks, UK [so far 1690-1891] and surrounding Parishes together with an interest in the village itself. Still not found any connections northwards to Northamptonshire or Nottinghamshire and the more well-recorded (& more well-heeled!) branches. Good to be part of such an active & interesting list.
