Bob wrote> An Internet search (http://cappers.com) reveals that Capper¹s Weekly of Topeka KS is a women¹s periodical which has been published for more than 100 years and which ³offers the opportunity to earnestly share joys and tears within the caring community of readers.² Kate Marchbanks is listed as editor of the section styled ³Heart of the Home.² I don¹t know whether Kate is a real person, or an invention, or possibly a long-dead editor. Bob and All, I checked the phone book and found a listing for a Donald and Howard Marchbanks at same address. I called and talked to Howard and his sister who is visiting from Oregon. They knew very little about the Marchbanks but said they came from Canada into Kansas. I have been given an address for their brother in Portland Oregon, as he is the family member most interested in the family genealogy, and will forward the address to you Bob if you would like to contact him. Dr. Donald Marchbanks is no longer living, however his sister still lives in Topeka and is in her 80's. This family knows nothing about Kate Marchbanks and nothing about Capper's Weekly. Even though I live in Topeka, I have never heard of it either. I will see what I can find out. Phyl -- mailto:fvvpjv29@idt.net (two vs not w)
