    3. Wow the list sure woke up. A couple of points. It's the 1881 Census not the 1861 Census. I DID not transcribe it, I just did a lot of cut and paste from the Mormon Church 1881 Census CD set. Roger, I have never used Scottish Origins, but one thing I have been told is that it is very sensitive to spelling variations. If you don't type it in exactly "right" it won't find anything. Good luck checking all those Marjoribanks spelling variants. Roger tells me he received the Edinburgh and Yorkshire census records. I did not get them sent back to myself, likely because I receive messages in Digest mode. If anyone else didn't get them and would like them let me know and I will send you a copy. They are both LONG. If anyone has Marjoribanks women who were Married in the 1881 Census they would like me to try and find for them let me know. If you have a married surname it should be relatively easy. I would need a year and location of birth, If they were married /or had children in the 1855 to 1875 period in Scotland, I can often cross reference them with the online civil registration indexes to locate them. A region of the country that they likely lived in at the time of the Census would be a benefit as well. Let me know Sheila I Hale
