I have no connection to it and no one on the list has posted about it. It was merely in a long list of surnames which was posted to the list. The source of this info, posted by me to the list, was an 1892 book by O'Hart, published in Dublin, listing surnames of Huguenots and their descendents in England and Ireland 1643-1714. No info about Marjoribanks was mentioned except that it was listed along with the other surnames that started with M. Chuck Bobo also posted about this name -- but again it was just a listing of surnames, from another book, by Samuel Smiles, also published in the 1800's. Chuck will likely send you more info about that source. If any of the Marjoribanks subscribers think they have Huguenot ancestry, they might want to subscribe to the H-W-E list.
