I'm perfectly prepared to research anyone if requested; in my records I have a Robert Marchbank born in Moffat in 1756 who is the only one I have who might fit and who certainly might have emigrated to Ireland. If anyone wants me to check him out I certainly will. Irish records (I mean registers) are very sparse, since most were destroyed at the time of the Rising & Civil War earlier this century but it might be interesting to see what this particular record has.
