The names listed have not been identified with Mariposa families or Cemeteries. Please ask your members if they recognizing the following names. Allie Howard 1858-1882 Baby Dripps 1881 James Howard Dripps 1812-1883 Ann Howard (Ross?) 1835-1923 The names were hard to read so I may have miss read a letter or two. The Investors Daily of Dec 4th, 2003 has an interesting article about improving the Soundex to take care of Asian, near Eastern names, etc. to be used for Air Line Checks, double-booked reservations,etc. Soundex was used for Geneologist and law enforcement. the system and data base is sold to the Governemnt, air lines . I thought it was interesting how this had developed.
