    1. [MarinGenSoc] Event Update - January 2010 SFBAJGS San Francisco Meeting
    2. SFBAJGS EZINE
    3. Dear JGS Member: Item 1. in January's News & Events indicated that details on our Society's January meeting would be forthcoming. And so, here they are. Shellie Wiener ================ *1. SFBAJGS Meeting – Sunday, January 24, 2010 in San Francisco* Topic: *BYOB session - Bring Your Own Brick Wall* Getting past genealogy stumbling blocks with help from a panel of SFBAJGS Genealogy Experts When: Sunday, January 24, 2010 Time: Doors open 1:00 pm, Program begins at 1:30 pm and runs until 3:30 pm. Where: *San Francisco Public Library - Noe Valley Branch Community Room* *Map* <http://tinyurl.com/y8fflzo> 451 Jersey Street (half a block west of Castro), San Francisco unrestricted street parking is available in the immediate vicinity Light refreshments will be served Free to anyone attending. In 2010, the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Genealogical Society is featuring speakers from its membership, to showcase the breadth of knowledge and resources in our group. To launch the new year, some of those more experienced members will lead a brick wall session. We all start our family history quests with what genealogists call "brick walls", those questions or situations we just can't fathom how to scale. Do not fear, several Society members can offer suggestions based upon several years of their own research to help you break through, climb over, or get around those brick walls. Bring your questions and documents (No originals, please. Make copies first!), and let's see if we can't make that breakthrough. The library has free wi-fi, so some of us with laptops may be able to take advantage of this and locate almost instant answers. No promises, though!

    3. Like Barbara Alexander, I don't wish to receive emails from this organization. Since they're arriving via Marin GenSoc's email id, however, I'm not sure how to unsubscribe.
