Hi all, Just got off the phone with Linda Johnson in Sacto... we are to begin on the 4th floor. If some of us get there early, tell the guard you are form the Marin GenSoc and Carolyn will have left a message to let us come up. We will initially store everything while we take our tour. Then you will be allowed to take in a notebook if you are using either Roots Cellar or microfilms. If you want to handle original documents, it is pencil and paper only. No handheld scanners, but they will allow flatbed scanning (you provide the scanner) and digital photography with some items by special arrangement! Obviously, it depends on what you want to copy and what condition it is in. Laptops are OK as are Palm Devices. PARKING: the cheapest garage across from the building is on 10th between P & O - it costs $.75 per 1/2 hour (but we will all pitch in so it shouldn't be too bad). The next best bet is the garage on 12th between P & 11th. I am getting excited - hope you are all coming (she is prepared to see 15 of us...)
