Marin Independent Journal Tuesday, June 12, 2001 Section B, page 2 MARK NOBLE Died May 29, 2001 at age 77. Husband of Holly Noble; father of Jenny Noble Wootton and Tracey Noble McFadden. He was third generation, born in San Francisco, graduated Piedmont High School, received BS Electrical Engineering at UC Berkeley, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. After WWII naval service, he consulted and taught communications to marine radio operators and electronics firms and co-authored a book on DOS computers. An avid sailor and skier, he won First in Sun Valley's Giant Slalom as late as age 62. He started skiing before America had a chairlift and helped develop early Sugar Bowl, becoming a guarantor of the Lincoln Lift. Ten years ago a tragic auto accident rendered him a quadriplegic but courage, luck and determined therapy recovered much of his mobility.
