Marin Independent Journal Tuesday, June 12, 2001 Section B, page 2 SUSAN KLARKOWSKI-HOFFMAN Age 55, died on Tuesday May 29th, 2001 in Thousand Oaks of a long illness. She is survived by two sons, Aaron Hoffman of Honolulu, Hawaii and Brian Hoffman of Somis, California, her mother Lauretta Klarkowski of San Rafael, sisters Kate Klarkowski of Petaluma, Judith D'Amico of Sonoma, Karin Klarkowski-Smith of Portland, Oregon and her brother Richard F. Klarkowski of Petaluma. She is also survived by her nephews Benjamin and Alexander Klarkowski, Peter and Henry Lyon, Louis Smith Jr., Cassidy Damron and niece Diana Lyon. Susan was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her early education was in Texas, Maine, Stuttgart, Germany and San Rafael. She graduated from Terra Linda High School. She was a graduate of Chico State University with honors in English and Art. She was a respiratory therapist in Southern California. Susan will be lovingly remembered as a talented artist, avid skier, passionate homemaker and for her pride in her Scandinavian Heritage. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday June 16th 2 p.m. at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in San Rafael, 1123 Court Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local recovery program or the St. Pauls Memorial Fund.
