Hello Sir Francis Drake Fans! AS many of you who came to the last MCGS Meeting heard, Carl and I were invited to participate in a Project to determine whether SF Drake actually landed at Bolinas' Agate Beach.... progress on the Project is being made. AS we mentioned, it is quite likely that a number of English sailors were left behind and intermarried with the Miwok or other Indigenous Natives in California. I have posted a list of the names of these folks on our Marin County Gen Web site here: http://www.cagenweb.com/marin/nova_albion_project.htm There will be a meeting of the Ethnographic Committee at Marin Art and Garden Center between 1-4 PM this coming Saturday. If you are interested, SHOW UP! There will be signs directing you from the Parking Lot. The Ethnographic portion of the Research is right up a genealogists alley!
