The parade was a lot of fun -- as it always is. There was only one thing missing. The Marin County Genealogical Society as an entry. How many years ago was it that we won for being a comedy unit? Five? Jim Robinson was the President of the Society. Funny thing was.... we did not know we were a comedy unit! Never too late to start planning to participate in next year's parade.... Susan???? Sheesh - is there nowhere private in this county <grin> Yes, we were in the parade with the Sierra West Bernese Mountain Dog group - Carl and another lady led "Einstein" and "Brio" pulling Covered Wagon carts and I was trying to keep up with "Serey" a 6 mos. old pup - while a lady whose name I do not know mostly carried our brand new 8 week old puppy; "Echo of Tamalpais"... Little Echo stole the show several times hopping down and "leading" the cart dogs with a lambykins gait (ohmygawd, what have we gotten ourselves into again).... We did this as a favor to the breeder who had stomach surgery on Monday and needed extra hands with the dogs.... Tonight, we are paying the price - my hip and knee are screaming and Carl's neck is so extremely sore he cannot turn his head.... I thought about MCGS, but must say I still wish they had an impromptu parade at the County Fair where we could get more "áction" for our effort..... Hmmmm, maybe I'll call Jim Farley.....
