    1. [MarinGenSoc] MCGS March 24 meeting reminder
    2. Bill Bryant
    3. Many of us have been able to trace our ancestors back to the Mayflower or some other vessel that came from England or somewhere else overseas. Once we get the family tree that far we then focus on the foreign port and on to our ancestors' earliest origins. But what do we really know, if anything, about what that voyage from "there" to "here" was like? That's what tomorrow evening's meeting is all about: What Was It Like Aboard a Sailing Vessel At Sea In 1630. Mary Ames Mitchell will help fill in this gap in your family history, based on her own research and book of the same name which is an historical novel but about a real ship with real people on a real voyage to Salem. Hope to see you at the LDS Church on Wednesday, 7:30 PM. This meeting is also important for nomination of this year's MCGS officers. Be there! Bill Bryant, MCGS Secretary

    3. I have received 3, I believe. However, as the old address was used and the instructions suggest trigger of "forgotten password" and the only address of record is no longer valid. It is futile. I have suggested to Gene that he scrap the old and add the new. For our House of Boyd Society member area, the interested party begins a login which must be approved before going live. That seems to be a less complicated system than this new one for MCGS. Time will tell. 3. Hello Cathy---I don't know who this gentleman is but I do want to tell you of success. Over a year ago there were three names of British researchers published in MCGS bulletin. I wrote to all three. Never heard from two but the third was a gold mine. She found two more generations of my Boreham family and then put me in touch with a Boreham family member who has researched 15 generations including my family. (232 pages of descendants). I was able to bring the US branch of the families up to date for her. Thanks to you folks for the lead. 2. Hi Cathy, 2. questions: 1. Do you need pictures of the winners for your Kintracer articles? I believe Esther has sent you the winning essays. I have the photos, and a photo of all the winners at the meeting. Let me know.... 2 / I'd like to have Malcolm's email. I can email him and let you know what I find out. Thanks, Susan ---------- Original Message ---------- From: CYLGowdy@aol.com To: MarinGenSoc@rootsweb.com Subject: [MarinGenSoc] British research Date: Sat, 13 Mar 2010 12:40:27 EST I have received an email addressed to _Research@maringensoc.org_ (mailto:Research@maringensoc.org) describing research available by a Malcolm Wright of Great Britain.
