In p.51-52, it's about a ship named Upada and I would like to know what they said about her in this book and what source (archive) have been used to for this description. Thank you in advance.

Not very much there. The ss UPADA is mentioned as anchored in Carloforte Roadstead with the salvage vessel DALKEITH alongside when the latter was ordered to go to the assistance of the torpedoed and stranded KINGSTONIAN.
