Hi CV, In 1828/29 in Lloyd's Register there were 15 brigs and 4 schooners, and in 1829/30 14 brigs and 9 schooners, all called "Thomas".  Can you give us some idea of which port she came from, or an approximate date, or the name of her master?  It might help narrow the search.
