Edward Simmons was Master and owner of a Brig Collier "providence and Mary",  his death was reported in The Newcastle Courant 30 November 1782.  I would like to find how Edward died, I have been informed that he died at sea, but am unable to find any information in the local (North Shields; Newcastle Central; South Shields libraries or Woodhorn Archives).  Any suggestions of how I might find the information would be appreciated.   Michael
