Hi Michael, There was long ago a place called Trepton, a small settlement near the coast at Warkworth, Northumberland, in the manor of "Roubirie", but both names have evidently long since been defunct - I don't think therefore it could be here.  Alternatively, there is Treptow, now Trzebiatow, Poland, on the river Rega on the Baltic coast, apparently then manufacturing stockings and woollen goods.  This is mentioned in the late 18th-century newspapers in connection with shipping, so "Trepton" may be a misprint. Take your pick!
