Greetings. I recall the streets of London in the 1950's being marked out by various cannon i was informed as being left over from European Wars, these being installed muzzle down (vertical) to prevent garbage being deposited down the bore, i thought that we were better behaved than to do that. Perhaps it was street markers from the 1914--1918 war, or maybe 1939--1945. Any of the various wars and usage?? Blackouts??
