The British Consul in New Orleans wrote in September 1868: “I hereby certify that the within have been sent the 5th September on board of the named steam ship ‘Fire Queen’ as supernumeries to be conveyed to Liverpool”..........As you will appreciate, I need to confirm his arrival in Liverpool on the SS Fire Queen to establish a new starting point in my search.  Many thanks.
