Hello Piers, Thankyou for your hard work digging all this out. You have given me plenty of leads to follow up that I am on with now. I want to find out what happened to him after his insolvency in 1900. Would it have affected his position as Captain of a vessel? Would he be discharged, and if so would the record of this be with the shipping company he worked for, or be registered in England? I had noted the bump with the Elginshire, but forgot to include it in my request.
