The vessel is the Brig Alliance 114tons built Fowey 1814 owned Fryer & co. rated E1 at this time, copper sheathed 12ft draught, usually employed on the Newfoundland trade. Dried fish to Catholic ports no doubt, Brazil and the Meditteranean. Lloyd's list has her in Pernambuco and Montevideo in 1826. Peter
