May I heartily recommend two factual and highly entertaining books about corvettes, both by James B Lamb, both published by Totem Books, Toronto. The first, 'The Corvette Navy', is lost, stolen, or strayed, so I can give no details. I can only attest to its excellence from memory. The second, 'On the Triangle Run', was published in 1986 as ISBN 0-00-217909-1. At the end of a fascinating book is a great description of the destruction of the Canadian Navy, at the hands not of the Kriegsmarine but of spiteful politicians and bureaucrats who abolished even the word 'Navy'.
