If any lister can help me fill in some of the gaps for Andrew Kerbyson's career, and/or tell me more about the sailing vessels he served in/captained and his voyages, I'd greatly appreciate it. To date, this is what I know: 1866 - Andrew Kerbyson was born near Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. 1883, 26 May - he signed on as a "boy"; vessel name illegible, reg. Glasgow, no. 00320 or 00326, 563 tons, Rig 09; discharged 26 Apr 1884 as an O.S. 1884, 17 Jun - he signed on as an O.S.; *Caitloch,* reg. Greenock, no. 72377, 1263 tons, Rig 09; discharged 9 Jul 1885. 1885, 3 Sep - he signed on as a 'stew' (ard?); *Caitloch,* details as above, discharged 11 Oct 1886. 1886, 9 Nov - he signed on as an AB; *Nebo, *reg. Glasgow, no. 78557, 1382 tons, Rig 09; discharged 16 Jun 1888. 1888, 27 Jul - examined at Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England and passed tests for 2nd Mate. Certificate issued at Hull on 4 Aug 1888. 1890/1891 - 2nd Mate on the *Nebo,* 1383 tons, which arrived at Sydney, New South Wales from New York, USA on 13 Oct 1891. 1894/1895 - 1st Mate on the *Largo Law*, 1586 tons, of Glasgow, which arrived at Sydney, New South Wales from Caleta Buena, Chile on 6 Apr 1895. 1896, 27 Jun - awarded his Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign-Going Ship, By Order of the Board of Trade, London. 1904, 1 Jul - Master of the *Gulf Stream*, reg. Glasgow, no. 89987, 1397 tons net, from Belfast to Newcastle, New South Wales, then via Tocopilla, Chile to Hamburg, Germany, the voyage terminating on 4 Aug 1905. 1909 - Master of the *Clackmannanshire*, 1481 tons, of Glasgow, which arrived at Sydney, New South Wales from Newcastle (UK or NSW?) on 11 Dec 1909. 1909 - Annie Kerbyson, wife of Captain Andrew Kerbyson, and their son, Andrew age 5, passengers on the steamship *Runic,* of Liverpool, arrived at Sydney, NSW from Liverpool, UK, via Cape Town and Melbourne, on 12 Nov 1909. 1936 - Andrew Kerbyson died in London, UK age 70.
