Hello everyone I visited Pembrokeshire RO a couple of years ago and transcribed some log books & crew agreements for *Dunloe* - my g g g grandfather was the Master, Walter Batten. It occured to me that others might be interested in some of the crew members listed below. According to the record of Walter's voyages: On 12 January 1866 Dunloe left Cardiff for Palermo returning to London on 29 August. On 6 October he left Cardiff for Ancona returning, from Philadelphia to Sligo on 27 June 1867. It then transferred to Guernsey. *Crew agreement Port no. 8 1864* Owner C P Philips Haverfordwest. Master W Batten Cert 50327, home address: Milford Voyage from Cardiff, Palermo, thence if required New York and any other port or ports in North or South America, U. States, West Indies, Mediterranean, ……but finally to a port of discharge in the United Kingdom, not to exceed two years. Walter Batten, age 44: last ship: same ship.
