Hi there, Can anyone clarify if it was the sailing ship EDWARD PEMBROKE built 1885 by S.P.Austin at Wear Dock, that was renamed MAGNAT and was wrecked on 9 May 1900 in Bass Strait or the EDWARD PEMBROKE built 1892 by A.McMillan & Son at Dumbarton which was renamed MAGNAT and wrecked there. I am a bit confused as to which of these was wrecked at Bass Strait. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kindest regards, Joe McMillan, South Australia.
