    3. Thanks Irene. My friends are now engaging a researcher to look through the documents to see if they can find any Crew lists and agreements, pay due etc Edie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Irene Read" <irene.read4@btopenworld.com> To: "Edie McArthur" <ediemc@bigpond.com>; <MARINERS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2011 5:26 AM Subject: Re: [MAR] COLOMBO with Belcher as Master, 1864 > The Laccadive Islands are about 100 miles off the Malabar Coast of India, > that is, the South West corner. 3. Thanks Mick I sent your previous email in this regard to on of the ladies who is researching Robert evans from the Budget/Colombo. She has already engaged a researcher . I note from a reasonably new book oon the Meerchant Navy at our Genie rooms today. Crew lists transferred to local repositories (1863 to 1912) I photocopied them there were three pages. For the Liverpool registered Ships. The repository is Liverpool City Record Office. I have told Ellen that . I guess the more information you can gather that is less you have to rely on the researcheer for and hopefully cost less. The fees are huge per hour.
