Hi Cathy, The Maritime History Archive give a list of institutions holding crew agreements. http://www.mun.ca/mha/holdings/codemeanings.php#cu There are two listed for Cumbria and or the Maritime History Archive itself may have records depending on the year. What was the vessels name and do you have a year for when it sank in Dublin Bay ?. Mick O Rourke Mariners List
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunatly I dont have his ship, all I know is they plyed from Maryport to Ireland. Also I dont know what year, all I know it was 1861 ( he was on the census ) and 1869. I think he deliverd coal/wood etc. David Crone his father and grandfather all did the same, but he was the unfortunate one who went down with his ship. I will go and look at the addy you sent me.
