Paul, I had always thought that the difference in age and occupation would not preclude the possibility that this is the person I am looking for although I must admit that I have nothing to support this view other than general experience of incorrect information on records. I must also admit that the only reason that I think the death record may be of my relative is that I can find no other record of a death that could possibly be him.
