I also noticed there was a Mary Booth/Thomas Pierce marriage 29 Jan. 1717, Scituate VR 2:32. I don't know how that might relate, if at all. I don't know anything about any of these people--just wondered if you'd already considered this one. I'm sure you saw the old Register article on the Pierce family--the couple is mentioned, but the compiler knew nothing about them.
