    1. [PLY/MA] Duxbury
    2. I have an ancestor who was originally in Plymouth, I have found his will of 1661 in Duxbury. Could someone tell me where Duxbury is located today and in 1661? Thank you, Janet

    3. Duxbury is an offshoot of the Plymouth Colony which was crowded. Governor Thomas Prence's child Mercy was born there in 1631. I believe Prence wished to live there rather than in the village of Plymouth. He had fewer social constraints by making the move. Duxbury is an Atlantic shore community, northeast of Kingston, which is northeast of Plymouth proper. Plymouth was settlrfd first, then Rocky Nook (Kingston), then Duxbury.
