Isaac HOWLAND, son of John Howland of the Plymouth Colony, married Elizabeth VAUGHAN about 1676. Are there any Isaac and Elizabeth researchers? Does anyone know anything about Elizabeth's parents? My line is through Isaac and Elizabeth's youngest daughter Hannah. She married John Tinkham. I'm wondering if there are any other Isaac descendants. The only thing I found about Isaac is he served in King Phillp's War as Ensign. He was a settler at Middleboro, MA and was a surveyor of highways, constable and selectman for about 11 years. He was chosen representative to General Court for the New Plymouth Colony in 1689 and served for 5 years. Isaac married Elizabeth Vaughn, daughter of George Vaughn the first tavern keeper in Middleboro (1669). He had 8 children of which 7 survived. The youngest, Hannah, married John Tinkham. Hannah is mentioned in his will. On 11 May 1724, son-in-law John Tinkham, daughter Hannah, other daughters, and others sold land except what was given to their mother, Elizabeth (from Mayflower Families, Peter Brown Volume).
