The Boston Public Library does not list any newspapers published in Whitman in any year, and doesn't list any papers published in Abington in that period. The most likely source for the article would be the Brockton Daily Evening Enterprise and Brockton Times, now called, simply, The Enterprise. The Boston Public Library has it in their microtext department. The Brockton Public Library has it in their Historical Room: http://www.bridgewaterpubliclibrary.org/histor.htm and the Brockton microfilms circulate through interlibrary loan. Dale H.
