    3. Do any of you own the Search & ReSearch CD-ROM "Early Vital Records of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to about 1850" for Plymouth County? I'm considering buying it and would like to know if it contains the complete text of the NEHGS VRs volumes for the towns of the county. Dale H. 3. Hi Dale, Yes, it does contain images of the pages from the tan series books which are out of copyright. It does not contain the newer VRs such as the Plymouth Twp. book, but instead has Bowman's Plymouth Twp. VR from MD. Those VR which use MD are presented in text and image form so those are searchable by word whereas the images from the tan series use the index of the book itself. In my opinion these S&R CDs are a very good buy. As you probably know, the bundle of all the MA VR CDs from S&R is available for about half the combined price of the CDs sold separately. If you anticipate also getting into Barnstable, Bristol, and Norfolk you could buy the whole commonwealth set for the price of those four separately. This offer was not available when I bought mine--in fact the individual prices were twice what they are now when I bought mine, so for what I paid for two one can now get all of them. I die a little whenever someone does this, but... I imagine you already have Brockton, Bridgewater, etc., but the CD has Bridgewater in the NEHGS series as well as every word searchable from MD, East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater and Brockton from the NEHGS series. ***-----Original Message----- ***From: Dale H Cook [mailto:radiotest@juno.com] ***Sent: Saturday, January 04, 2003 6:51 AM ***To: MAPLYMOU-L@rootsweb.com ***Subject: [PLY/MA] Search & ReSearch Plymouth VRs CD *** *** ***Do any of you own the Search & ReSearch CD-ROM "Early Vital Records of ***the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to about 1850" for Plymouth County?
