I have Ephriam Tinkham and Mary Brown (my 7 G Grandparents). But I only have two known children of theirs -- Ebenezer TINKHAM b 30 Sep 1651 (my 6 GGF), and Mary TINKHAM b 5 Aug 1661. Do you have names of any other children of Ephriam Tinkham and Mary Brown? I would like to fill out my family group charts. Thanks for your help. Esther WRIGHT, b. 1649 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She married Ephraim TINKHAM, b. 1 Aug 1649 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, (son of Ephraim TINKHAM and Mary BROWN). Children: + 2. i Martha TINKHAM b. I've been told that Esther was the granddaughter of Mayflower's Francis Cooke. Are there any good sites about Francis and Hester Cooke, their children and grandchildren, and what Francis did. Additionally, Ephraim Tinkham is a descendant of Mayflower passenger Perter Brown, as you probably know. > Are there any good sites about Francis and Hester Cooke, their children >and grandchildren, and what Francis did. > You might wish to spend a very few dollars and buy a book with the most up to date genealogical information available. There's not a great deal of biographical information known about Francis. Scroll down on this page to the paperback books and you can order _Francis Cooke of the Mayflower and his Descendants of Four Generations_ from the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Service is very quick. http://www.mayflower.org/book.htm This page mentions some misinformation to watch out for. http://members.aol.com/calebj/cooke.html You might want to pursue this on theRootsweb Mayflower mailing list as well as you have two Mayflower passengers here and there will probably be several people on the list with connections. Incidentally, I have been trying, off and on, to collect the descendants of Richard Wright, and I'd be interested in where your line goes if you'd like to share that. If you haven't looked into Richard yet, you may find on the web many instances where he is said to be the son of William Wright and Priscilla Carpenter. He is not. His origin is unknown. > > > ______________________________ --Boundary_(ID_8TAapdwi/1RcoIyl7tvYbA) Content-type: TEXT/PLAIN Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT X-Message: #3 Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2003 18:33:43 EDT From: SnowBeri@aol.com To: MAPLYMOU-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <1a8.16f54e7e.2c409547@aol.com> Subject: Re: [PLY/MA] Esther WRIGHT m Ephraim TINKHAM Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" In a message dated 7/11/2003 4:13:57 PM Mountain Daylight Time, chandler@firstva.com writes: > > Incidentally, I have been trying, off and on, to collect the descendants > of Richard Wright, and I'd be interested in where your line goes if > you'd like to share that. I've traced the Tinkham line, which was fairly easy since my cousin lives in New York next to the town's library. I've just started on the Cooke line since she wasn't interested in doing the maternal route. I saw some of the Cooke items from a quick search on Google, but I was wondering if there were some favorite sites out there that people liked. Francis Cooke isn't the most colorful character in Plymouth, is he? It was much easier getting Howland information. Thank you for the recommendations, and I'll be glad to make up a desc. file if you wish. My lines go through the Howland, Tilly, Brown (now Cooke), with Esther WRIGHT m. Ephraim TINKHAM, and their son John m. Hannah HOWLAND. Amos TINKHAM m cousin Sarah TINKHAM.
